Why is your wedding photographer important.

It is easier than ever before for someone to own a camera. We all have them in our mobile phones and curry them everywhere. Se have small point-and-shoot cameras, bridge cameras, mirrorless cameras, DSLRs, Drones and the list goes on. We have the need for sharing our every moment in social media. Basically everyday we are bombarded with thousands of photographs from friends, relatives, people we've never met and other sources.

So, if everyone takes photographs on a daily basis why should anyone hire a professional photographer for their wedding?

Well for starters let me clarify that good photography goes beyond a fancy camera. Speaking for myself, I have spend countless hours of training to reach the level that I am now. And it never stops. I keep studying photography and trying to perfect what I do. Wedding photography is not an easy task. Many things can go wrong and a professional will know what to do in every situation.

What if a Camera stops working? A professional will carry an extra camera or two in his bag. What if a flash breaks? The same. A professional will always curry a backup. A good photographer will know how to handle light and get good photos in every situation. I can take photos that look nice at any time of day and with any lighting conditions because I know what to do at any given time.

A professional will stay with you without getting drunk for 10-12 hours until the end of the wedding. He will know how to handle groups and set up people so they look their best. He will have a checklist ensuring that all the necessary photos are taken. On top of my head I can think of many more reasons why a good professional photographer is the better solution for your wedding, but I will end with this: Your wedding day is very important to you. When it is finished you wil have only memories. Your wedding photos are a way of enhancing these memories and passing them on to your children and grandchildren. Why risk it?

Weddings do cost a lot of money. My advice is to allocate a sum of your budget towards a good photographer that will enhance that memory and give you something back to be proud of.
